Frank & Claire's Bloody Gulch Shortline Railroad

Frank and Claire have worked the past three summers to build small fictional shortline railroad subsidiary of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. The railroad was built around an ornamental koi pond on what was very uneven ground. Work started in 2007 with the aid of a front end loader and backhoe. The shortline narrow gauge railroad serves a mining industry and the small community of Bloody Gulch. In 2009 work started on a second line that is mostly elevated and will eventually be suspended by trestles and bridges. The layout is built with Aristocraft brass track and the locomotives are all battery powered and controlled with Airwire decoders. The trains can also be operated by standard track power.
